Justine Tjallinks (1984) grew up in Warnsfeld and studied at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. After graduating cum laude she became art-director of the fashion magazine L’Officiel in Amsterdam. Since a few years she has been working as a self-taught photographer. Influenced by Tim Walker, Erwin Olaf, Vivianne Sassen, Kasia Bielska and Jill Greenberg, the artist plays with light in her own language.
She won several awards, in Holland and abroad, for example: New Dutch Talent 2015, 1st editorial choice Book Cover; Life Framer Grand Series Winner 2015, 1st place (Clamp Galleries, New York); Siena International Photography Awards 2016, 2nd place Children Portrait; Lensculture Portrait Awards 2016, 1st place Portrait Awards; Tokyo International Foto Awards 2016, 1st place Fine Art Portrait, and 1st place People and Children.
