  Karin van de Walle (1964) studierte Keramikdesign an der Kunstakademie Sint Joost in Breda.

  Mit ihren Showgirls, Nymphen und Wasserspeier-Meerjungfrauen möchte Karin van de Walle den Betrachter herausfordern und verführen.

  Die weiblichen Figuren sind laut, schrill, eigenwillig und voller Humor. Auf himmelhohen Absätzen und in enganliegenden Outfits präsentiert sich Venus mit vielen Gesichtern und dynamischer Beweglichkeit.

  Die Bilder veranschaulichen eine Reise durch Popkultur, Mythen und Geschichte. Dabei spielen das Detail und das dekorative Element eine wesentliche Rolle.
