Jean Charles Delafosse was a French architect, draftsman and ornament designer from Paris. He was an important representative of the Louis XVI-style by designing Roman and Greek inspired buildings, with numerous ornaments such as festoons, medaillons and trophies. He published an iconological book in 1768 containing decorations and motives.
