Jean de Renou (1568, Coutances – c. 1620), Latin:. Renodaeus, was a French physician. He became a teacher at the Faculté de médecine in Paris in 1598, and was appointed a royal doctor to the kings Henri II, Henri III and Henri IV. His pharmaceutical works proved to be extremely popular and served to denounce numerous misconceptions and errors regarding curative properties of many plants and herbs.
