Very cute Art Deco bronze sculpture of a mother bird feeding her young.
Both birds are sitting on a branch. The bronze has a lovely original patina and stands on a Belgian Black marble plinth. Signed by the famous artist Andre Vincent Becquerel, France 1925.
André Vincent Becquerel wurde in St. Andre-Farivilliers (Oise) in Frankreich geboren. Er studierte bei Hector Lemaire und Prosper Lecourtier. Er ist spezialisiert auf Tierskulptur; Er zeigte eine ausgeprägte Vorliebe für Raubtiere, Katzen und ornithologische Themen, die er von 1914 bis 1922 im Salon des Artistes Francais ausstellte. Er wurde ein lebenslanges Mitglied dieses Salons. Er starb 1981 in Paris.
