The clockwork of this bracket clock has an 8 day movement, strike/silent feature and pull repeat.
2nd half 18th century | Mahogany | Signed Robert Henderson London | Provenance: Private collection - Über KünstlerRobert Henderson was a clockmaker in Scarborough. Robert Henderson, who was a most highly esteemed maker, is mentioned in Baillie's "Watch and Clockmakers of the World", as working between 1768 and 1805. One of his bracket clocks is in the Imperial Palace collection in Peking and those clocks made by Henderson which we have had have all been of excellent quality.
